BAYDOG creates high-quality, adventure-ready gear for dogs — from harnesses and leashes to life jackets and collegiate apparel. With a growing product line and customer base, they needed a Shopify site that could support both B2B wholesale and direct-to-consumer sales. We were brought in to design and build a scalable, high-performance ecommerce site with 20+ uniquely designed pages, a robust blog, and inventory management solutions for both retail and wholesale. The goal: reflect the brand’s energy and lifestyle while delivering a seamless shopping experience across every device.

How We Defined the End-User Experience
We started by diving into BAYDOG’s unique market: outdoor-loving dog owners, particularly those near water or living an active lifestyle. We also considered retailers and wholesalers looking for a reliable brand that delivers quality and consistency. Our discovery phase focused on mapping buyer journeys for both B2B and B2C users, ensuring clear product navigation, sizing guidance, brand storytelling, and easy ordering. We also factored in the unique appeal of BAYDOG’s college gear line and how to integrate it into the broader shopping experience.
02. Design
Custom Designs & UI/UX Experiences
BAYDOG’s products are vibrant, durable, and adventure-driven — and the design needed to match that tone. Each page was crafted to combine lifestyle storytelling with retail clarity. We used bold visuals, clean layouts, and an intuitive navigation system to guide customers through product discovery and purchase. The visual system emphasized brand personality while keeping conversion at the forefront. Key elements included rich product detail pages, visual storytelling blocks, and a design language that felt premium, practical, and built for dog lovers.
03. Development
Custom Built and Responsive on All Devices
Built on Shopify, the site features fully customized templates, a flexible blog system, and tailored product pages for B2B and B2C audiences. We implemented a seamless structure for wholesale functionality, with the ability to manage inventory and pricing by customer type. The site also supports filtering by product category, activity type, and college branding. Performance was prioritized throughout development, ensuring the site loads quickly and functions flawlessly across devices. Custom design was applied sitewide — from the homepage and blog to landing pages and checkout.
04. Launch
A New Website Experience
We launched BAYDOG’s new Shopify site with all systems in place: secure checkout, integrated inventory management, mobile responsiveness, GA4 and Search Console configuration, and ReCaptcha v3 for form protection. The result is a rugged, refined storefront that speaks to adventurous dog owners — whether they’re shopping for everyday walks, waterside hikes, or game day pride. With a powerful new platform, BAYDOG is ready to grow its pack both online and on the shelves.
