Mailbox Directs was originally a CBU and Apartment Mailbox seller who only sold and delivered mailboxes through phone sales. They saw an opportunity to bring their business online, and sell and deliver mailboxes through E-Commerce solutions. (something all of their competitors we moving towards.)
What was originally planned to be a new website only, has grown into a business relationship where we manage their website, google adwords, and advertising strategies to bring sales through their website.

OUTDOING THEIR COMPETITORS.
Mailbox Directs and Homestore Directs had been operating as a phone sales business – but identified that their competition was outdoing them through online sales. The broad goal was this : build them an E-Commerce website that delivered better customer solutions and usability than their competitors. From there, we learned about Mailbox Directs and how their business operated and identified needs for videos, photography, 3D product renders, and more.
WHERE DO WE START?
LEARNING THEIR BUSINESS.
Turns out, there is a lot to learn about apartment mailboxes. Sizes, types, variations based off tenants and more. Ultimately, a customer needs to be able to figure out what box they need, without having to talk to someone on the phone. We built the website with that in mind – if I was a customer of mailbox directs, and I knew nothing about apartment mailboxes, will their website guide me as a customer to my end needs.
With the new website featuring large E-Commerce solutions, we provided Mailbox Directs with everything they needed for a complete and robust website. We created 3D renders of their mailboxes, down to the specifics of each box. We built an E-Commerce system that allowed for multiple variations in each box, including colors, add-ons (base and top), tenant variations, engravings, and more. Between each box, and how many variations were necessary, we ended with a E-Commerce site with 100’s of product variations, outlined cleanly and perfectly to make the consumer purchasing experience as easy as possible.
Past materials for their website, we created custom animated videos that inform customers about apartment mailboxes, and guide them in the direction of completing a purchase and getting the right box. These videos are short and to the point – delivering that information clearly.
GOOGLE ADWORDS & SEO
With the website deployed, a business like Mailbox Directs requires payed advertising for growth. The product is unique in that it isn’t something most people are purchasing, nor is it a product that generates buzz by itself. We started with small Adwords budget, and made many adjustments on the Adwords sets and website. We were able to track customers website activity, learn where we lost customers on what pages, and improve the site based off this information. As we improved, and started gaining great conversions, the ad budget went up and so did the sales.
We continued (and still do to this day) to manage the websites SEO, growth, and back-end infrastructure. The goal is to manage the website and overtake competitors on search engines and grab that piece of the market.
