OVERVIEW
The Challenge
Kenowa Plumbing has kept West Michigan’s water running since 1980. Based in Grandville and still family-owned, their licensed plumbers serve homes and businesses across Kent County, Ottawa County and the greater Grand Rapids area.
We were brought in to design and develop a new WordPress website built for the moment that matters most: someone with a leak, a clog or no hot water, searching on their phone. The site puts a licensed plumber one tap away, proves trust up front with 45 years in business, BBB A+ accreditation and a 4.9-star Google rating, and gives every service and every town Kenowa serves a place to be found.

01. Plan
How We Defined the End-User Experience
Most people look for a plumber in a hurry. We mapped the journeys of Kenowa’s two core audiences: homeowners dealing with a leak, a clog or a cold shower, and property and business managers looking for a dependable commercial partner. Both need the same three things, fast: proof that Kenowa can be trusted, a clear list of services, and a way to reach a licensed plumber right away.
That shaped a sitemap built around nine dedicated service pages, a commercial plumbing page, a resources hub of homeowner guides and a service area section covering 27 West Michigan towns, with Schedule Online as the primary call to action in the navigation.
02. Design
A Trustworthy, Local Look
Kenowa’s brand pairs deep navy and Kenowa blue with a warm service gold, set in DM Sans for clean, easy-to-read type. Every page leads with what a stressed homeowner needs to see: the phone number, a Schedule Online button and the 4.9-star Google rating, all above the fold. The homepage moves visitors from services to proof (45 years in business, BBB A+ accreditation and verified reviews) and on to a simple four-step “how it works” process, so picking up the phone feels easy. Photos of Kenowa’s vans and crew keep it local and personal.
03. Development
Custom Built and Responsive on All Devices
Built in WordPress with Elementor, the site was designed mobile-first, since most plumbing emergencies start with a search on a phone. Call and Schedule Online buttons sit at the top of every screen. We created a consistent template for all nine service pages, each with its own content, benefits and quick links to every other service. Live Google reviews pull in through Trustindex, and a custom service area map plots all 27 towns around Kenowa’s Grandville headquarters. A resources hub with 25+ homeowner guides supports long-term search growth, and a careers section helps Kenowa recruit new technicians.
04. Launch
A New Website Experience
The launch included online scheduling with SMS opt-in and matching SMS privacy terms, reCAPTCHA spam protection on every form, an accessibility statement, and a final review of every service page and form. With its new website in place, Kenowa Plumbing has a fast, trustworthy home online that turns a stressful search into a quick call for homeowners and businesses across West Michigan.
From Kenowa’s Google Reviews
“They were able to install a gas line for me to the grill without going along the outside of the whole house. Super happy with the work and how fast they were able to get the job done!”
